This commercial building located in Bonita Springs Florida was the unfortunate recipient of roof damage as a result of Hurricane Irma in years past. After several temporary repairs, our office was contracted to perform a thorough inspection and ultimately provide a full commercial roof replacement. Upon commencement, our roofing teams worked together to remove the existing tile roof to make way for the client’s new Boral Villa 900 tile in their Espresso Blend colorway. As our team completed the tile roof, we also installed new 6″ aluminum seamless gutters on the first story of the building to properly channel water from the roof during storms.

While this project turned out amazing, our painting division is currently standing by to provide the building a complete exterior repaint to complete the facilities transformation!

Our office had the recent pleasure of assisting a customer within the Promenade home community in Fort Myers Florida. The home had experienced roof damage as a result of Hurricane Irma and required a tile roof replacement to properly repair. Once the project was approved, our roofing division went to work removing the existing roof structure and installed Eagle’s Malibu Coca Range tile. Following completion of our customers new roof, we installed new white 6″ aluminum seamless gutters onto the first story of the home. With hurricane season quickly approaching, this customer can rest assured that their home is protected with a new roof from First Service!

Re-Roof Scope Of Work:

Provide permit, labor, and materials to complete the following:

• Remove existing tile and underlayment and dispose of in accordance with local code.
• Inspect existing decking. Damaged or deteriorated decking will be replaced on a unit price basis.
• Re-nail decking to meet hurricane mitigation code.
• Install tile underlayment to entire roof surface.
• Install new 26 GA pre-painted drip edge flashing to entire roof perimeter.
• Install new 26 GA galvalume valley metal in all valleys.
• Install 26 GA galvalume kitchen and dryer vents.
• Install 26 GA eave closure metal. Install new lead flashing around all plumbing stacks.
• Install a new tile roof system with foam adhesion and or two screw fastener application system as per manufacturer specifications.
• Provide five (5) year workmanship warranty on tile application.
• Provide manufacturers warranties.

Gutter Installation Scope Of Work:

Provide labor and material to complete the following:

• Remove and dispose of the existing gutters and downspouts.
• Install up to 90LF of new white 6″ aluminum seamless gutters on the first story.
• Install up to (4) downspouts, (3) splash guards, (5) miters to match existing layout.
• Jobsite will be cleaned of all work-related debris upon completion.

Our roofing team recently had the pleasure of working within the Sandoval community in Cape Coral Florida. The roof on our customer’s two-story home had been damaged during Hurricane Irma and required a new tile roof as a result. Once contracted, our roofing division went to work removing the existing roofing structure. We installed Boral’s split slate tile in their coconut white antique colorway. Additionally, our team also installed 135 LF of white 6” aluminum seamless gutters onto the second story.

Unfortunately this condominium neighborhood within Sparrowood At The Forest experienced storm damage as a result of Hurricane Irma. Upon inspection, it was determined that these buildings required a complete shingle re-roof to properly repair their roofing structures. First Service was contracted to carry out the complete roof replacements for these buildings along with installing new seamless gutters. Our team worked diligently to remove their existing roofs to make way for GAF’s weather watch mineral-surfaced leak barrier peel and stick, as well as GAF’s 130mph timberline HDZ shingles which are rated at wind speeds up to 130 mph. Once complete with the roofs, our team installed new seamless gutters to complete the project.

With a new roof from First Service, our clients can rest easy knowing that they are properly prepared for our upcoming storm season!

2. Inspect the condition of existing decking, flashing, and fascia board for their suitability of re-use. Any damaged or deteriorated materials will be replaced on a unit price or time and material basis.
3. Re-nail existing plywood roof deck to meet current Florida Building Code.
4. Furnish and install (1) layer of GAF Weather Watch Mineral-Surfaced Leak Barrier Peel & Stick, self-adhered shingle underlayment, applied direct to plywood roof deck in all valley and penetration locations.
5. Furnish and install (1) layer of Leak Barrier MS300 Ice and Water Armor Self-Bond Peel & Stick, self-adhered shingle underlayment, applied direct to plywood roof deck.
6. Furnish and install new 26 GA – 16″ – Mill (50′) galvalume valley metal in all valleys. Note: We use a closed valley detail.
7. Install 26 GA galvalume kitchen and dryer vents.
8. Furnish and install drip edge fabricated from 26-gauge steel with a baked enamel finish. Standard color to be selected by Building Representative.
9. Furnish and install GAF Pro-Start starter shingle at all eave/rake locations.
10. Furnish and install 130 mph GAF Timberline HD shingles, nailed with (6) nails per shingle, to plywood decking. Color to be selected by Building Representative. 11. Furnish and install GAF Seal A Ridge Hip & Ridge Cap Shingles at all hip and ridge locations. Color to match field shingle color.
11. Furnish and install a GAF Cobra Rigid Vent3 Exhaust Vent system at applicable ridge lines.
12. Furnish and install new lead pipe boots where existing pipes penetrate the roof surface.
13. First Service will provide 2-year workmanship warranty and a GAF SYSTEM PLUS 50 YEAR NON-PRORATED WARRANTY ON ANY GAF MATERIAL ON THE ROOF. Stain Guard algae protection and 10-year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration available only on shingles sold in packages bearing the StainGuard® logo.

Our roofing team was recently called to this North Fort Myers property to perform a residential roof inspection. Upon inspection, we found the roof to have numerous areas of damage and it was later determined that a complete roof replacement would be needed to properly address and fix the homes issues. Once approved, our roofing division went to work removing the existing roof to make way for the customer’s new Boral Barcelona 900 tile in their sterling color. After the roof was complete, our team also installed new 6″ aluminum seamless gutters to complete the project. This project turned out great and our homeowner couldn’t be happier with their new roof from First Service!

Upon inspection we found several areas on both the first and second story levels of this apartment building that we determined to have been damaged by Hurricane Irma. Our team made temporary repairs until the complete roof replacement could take place.
