Exterior Repaint For Fort Myers Home Completed

Our painting division recently completed an exterior repaint project for a homeowner in Fort Myers Florida. Our roofing division was in the area completing a tile roof job across the street from this homeowner’s residence, and they were so impressed they contacted our company to repaint the exterior of their home. Once our client completed their color selections, we went to work prepping the home for paint prior to completing the final finish. The end result turned out great, and our customer couldn’t be happier!

Special Materials:

Scope Of Work For Exterior Repaint:

  1. Trench around perimeter of home 1 to 3 inches.
  2. Pressure wash exterior free of dirt and foreign material, no bleach used, as requested.
  3. Apply one coat of masonry sealer to stucco surfaces.
  4. Caulk where necessary around doors and windows. Seal masonry cracks, as needed, with elastomeric patching compound
  5. Apply one coat of SW Duration Satin Paint, using brush and roll technique, to stucco walls, ceilings, bands, and trim.
  6. Apply one coat of SW Duration Semi-gloss paint to the exterior side of entry and garage doors.
  7. A 10-year limited labor and materials warranty issued by Sherwin Williams.

Gulf Harbour Yacht & Country Club Home Roof Replacement

Our roofing division recently had the pleasure of serving a wonderful homeowner within the Gulf Harbour community in Fort Myers Florida. This particular home had experienced damage as a result of Hurricane Irma and required a complete tile roof replacement to properly repair. In addition to the re-roof, we also installed a new gutter system for the home. Our customer chose Boral Tile’s Saxony 900 Split Slate tile in their Coconut White Antique color. This tile beautifully accented the home and instantly provided a spectacular curb appeal.

Following the completion of the project, the homeowner also elected to have our team paint the shutters to match the garage on the home. We love how this project turned out, and our customer can rest easy knowing that their residence is protected with a new roof installed by First Service!

Re-Roof Scope Of Work:

Provide permit, labor, and materials to complete the following:

  • Remove existing tile and underlayment and dispose of in accordance with local code.
  • Inspect existing decking. Damaged or deteriorated decking will be replaced on a unit price basis.
  • Re-nail decking to meet hurricane mitigation code.
  • Install tile underlayment to entire roof surface.
  • Install new 26 GA pre-painted drip edge flashing to entire roof perimeter.
  • Install new 26 GA galvalume valley metal in all valleys.
  • Install 26 GA galvalume kitchen and dryer vents.
  • Install 26 GA eave closure metal.
  • Install new lead flashing around all plumbing stacks.
  • Install a new tile roof system with foam adhesion and or two screw fastener application system as per manufacturer specifications.
  • Provide five (5) year workmanship warranty on tile application.
  • Provide manufacturers warranties.

Gutter Installation Scope Of Work:

Provide labor and material to complete the following:

  • Remove and dispose of the existing gutters and downspouts.
  • Install up to 440LF of new white 6″ aluminum seamless gutters with wedges on the first story.
  • Install up to (12) downspouts, (13) splash guards, (27) miters to match existing layout.
  • Jobsite will be cleaned of all work-related debris upon completion.

Paint Scope Of Work:

Provide permit, labor, and materials for the below mentioned project:

  1. Clean Florida shutters of all dirt and debris
  2. Lightly sand Florida shutters
  3. Paint all 10 Florida shutters with super paint and exterior satin to match front garage

 

Master Bathroom Remodel And Paint Project In Cape Coral

With decades of paint and interior finishing experience, many Southwest Florida residents turn to First Service with their remodeling needs. Our office recently completed a master bathroom remodel for a wonderful client in Cape Coral Florida. We removed the existing bathtub, deck, and tile in the bathroom. Additionally, our team also removed tower on the shower walls and prepared the area for our customer’s requested modifications. The shower wall was enlarged and the drain and supply lines were adjusted as needed once the wall was framed. Our team then proceeded to install a new freestanding tub and fixture, completed tile work in the shower area and floor, drywalled the walls accordingly, and painted the bathroom based on our customers selections.

This remodeled bathroom turned out great and our customer couldn’t be happier with the finished product.

Scope Of Work:

Provide labor and materials, except noted, for the below mentioned project:

  • Prep area where work is to be performed, lay Ram Board as needed to protect floor.
  • Demo tub, tub deck, tile surround including walls at water closet, and knee wall.
  • Demo tile on shower walls and floor.
  • Demo fixed glass at shower wall, fill in with proper framing as needed.
  • Enlarge opening into shower, size to be determined in field.
  • Adjust drain and supply lines as needed to install customer supplied freestanding tub and fixture.
  • Build 4′ knee wall at water closet.
  • Install customer supplied freestanding tub and fixture.
  • Install customer supplied tub splash guard wall tile, 50 sq. ft.
  • Tile remaining floor with customer supplied tile to match existing. Customer has on site.
  • Install two new can lights into shower tying into existing switch.
  • Rework plumbing in shower as needed for two shower heads on opposite wall, valve to be in original location.
  • Trench shower drain to accept linear style drain in existing location.
  • Construct two niches in wall underneath new shower heads.
  • Install customer supplied shower fixtures / valve.
  • Install customer supplied tile foot shelf, shower floor and wall tile, 175 sq. ft. wall tile and 32 sq. ft. floor tile.
  • Frame in shelf above linen, match texture to existing as close as possible.
  • All new drywall not tiled, to match existing wall texture as best as possible.
  • Paint entire bathroom walls, color to be determined.
  • Install new baseboard where tile was removed, match to existing, First Service to supply.
  • Note: Trench shower drain to accept linear style drain at end of shower and re-slope for proper drainage

Residential Painting Project For North Fort Myers Home

We were recently contracted by a homeowner in the Moody River area that was looking to touch up their existing residence in preparation for the holidays. Our painting division carried out the customers wishes to refine and paint areas of the kitchen and dining room. The end result turned out great and we were happy to assist the homeowner by providing some old-fashioned touch ups to this beautiful home!

  1. Cover all areas with painter’s plastic and runners.

  3. Prime area that is stained from upstairs leak with Sherwin Williams Oil-Based Primer.
  4. Paint entire ceiling with Sherwin Williams Master hide Flat.
  5. Upon completion the job site will be cleaned of all work-related debris.

Provide permit, labor, and materials for the below mentioned project:

  1. Case the sill of nine (9) interior opening, match existing windowsill casing as best as possible.
  2. Prime casing prior to install, caulk, and touch up paint on casing after install.
  3. Install one (1) customer supplied ceiling fan, existing circuit.
  4. Install transfer switch for 6500KW generator on outside wall back side of electrical panel.

 

Tarpon Landings Painting Project

No job is too large or small for our team at First Service! When our client contacted us with a need for general maintenance at Tarpon Point resort and community, we jumped at the opportunity to help. Upon arrival our painters matched and touched up the perimeter of newly installed mailboxes.

Residential Flat Roof Repair and Exterior Paint For Matlacha Florida Home

Our office was recently contacted by a homeowner in the process of selling their home to a new buyer. The home’s flat roof was in need of repair, along with a section of drywall that needed replaced. Once contracted to complete the repairs our team visited the home and removed the existing roof covering and underlayment, to properly repair the flat roof using the appropriate materials. Once completed we also replaced, and textured a 2×2 area of drywall on the lanai ceiling prior to painting the entire lanai ceiling for a clean installation.

  • Hang, tape, and texture new drywall.

Eagle Pointe Gazebo/Pool House Re-Roof & Paint Project

We were recently contracted to work with Eagle Pointe in Fort Myers Florida, for both roofing and painting work. Formally known as Cypress Pointe, Eagle Pointe is a gated subdivision of single-family homes located within the Gateway community of Fort Myers Florida. Our team was hired to complete a tile roof for their pool building and gazebo, as well as paint the ceiling of the pool house.   2. Living Room: Paint areas where brown with Super Paint White Satin & Paint all trim in living room with semi-gloss
  3. Kitchen/Dining Room Walls: Paint walls to match Grey Satin
  4. Move all furniture to center of room. Protect furnishing and floors from paint drips with drop cloths and or plastic.
  5. Prepare wall and ceiling surfaces to be painted and prime as needed.
  6. Sand doors and trim and wipe with de-glosser.

  4. Furnish and install (1) layer of GAF Weather Watch Mineral-Surfaced Leak Barrier Peel & Stick, self-adhered shingle underlayment, applied direct to plywood roof deck in all valley and penetration locations.
  5. Furnish and install (1) layer of Leak Barrier MS300 Ice and Water Armor Self-Bond Peel & Stick, self-adhered shingle underlayment, applied direct to plywood roof deck.
  6. Furnish and install new 26 GA – 16″ – Mill (50′) galvalume valley metal in all valleys. Note: We use a closed valley detail.
  7. Install 26 GA galvalume kitchen and dryer vents.
  8. Furnish and install drip edge fabricated from 26-gauge steel with a baked enamel finish. Standard color to be selected by Building Representative.
  9. Furnish and install GAF Pro-Start starter shingle at all eave/rake locations.
  10. Furnish and install 130 mph GAF Timberline HDZ shingles, nailed with (6) nails per shingle, to plywood decking. Color to be selected by Building Representative.
  11. Furnish and install GAF Seal A Ridge Hip & Ridge Cap Shingles at all hip and ridge locations. Color to match field shingle color.
  12. Furnish and install a GAF Cobra Rigid Vent3 Exhaust Vent system at applicable ridge lines.
  13. Furnish and install new lead pipe boots where existing pipes penetrate the roof surface.
  14. First Service will provide 5-year workmanship warranty and a GAF SYSTEM PLUS 50 YEAR NON-PRORATED WARRANTY ON ANY GAF MATERIAL ON THE ROOF. Stain Guard algae protection and 10-year limited warranty against blue-green algae discoloration available only on shingles sold in packages bearing the StainGuard® logo.

Estero Home Receives A Roof Replacement, Gutter Installation, and Re-Paint

A homeowner in Estero Florida’s beautiful Pelican Sound community recently contacted our company with a need for tile roof repairs. Upon inspection, it was determined that the home’s roof was damaged as a result of Hurricane Irma which warranted a complete roof replacement to properly address and fix the roof.
