This wonderful Cape Coral home owner contacted our office with a need to have their roof replaced due to the age and normal wear and tear. When the project was approved and the time came to replace the roof, our team went to work! We began the project by removing the existing layer of shingles, underlayment, and fasteners from the roof. The existing roof decking, flashing, and fascia was then inspected and replaced where necessary. The plywood roof deck was then re-nailed to meet current Florida building code and we began the installation of GAF Weather Watch Mineral-Surfaced Leak Barrier Peel & Stick underlayment, followed by a layer of APOC Peel & Stick in the appropriate locations.
Once the roof was ready, our roofing team went to work installing new galvalume valley metal, kitchen and dryer vents, and drip edge. GAF Pro-Start starter shingles were installed at all eave/rake locations, followed by 130mph GAF Timberline HDZ shingles across the roof. Our client selected the Driftwood colorway from GAF for their roof, and the final product accented their home beautifully. With a new roof courtesy of First Service, a 2 year workmanship warranty, and GAF’s series of warranties, this homeowner can now weather any storm mother nature sends our way!
